Do you find yourself feeling empty during the holidays? Are you frantically buying and wrapping gifts for loved ones, but not really feeling connected to the underlying season? When people smile and talk about the magic of Christmas, do you find yourself just nodding along–while inside you’re wondering what on Earth they’re talking about?
The truth is that Christmas has a much deeper meaning than just commercialism. Christmas represents the ultimate gift: the time when God sent His one and only son down to Earth to live among us and die on the cross for our sins. Christmas represents the birth of our Savior.
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
One of the ways that we celebrate this incredible fact is with an annual Christmas program, presented by the Franktown youth drama ensemble and adult choir.
